This is the fifth season of a New Big Brother Franchise hosted by Matpeng. This season of Big Brother - The Spying Machine has 18 housemates. I decided to restart this season with a brand new and more dynamic cast as well as a new set of twists. Hope you like it !

Twists[]

  • Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty: inspired by a twist from Survivor. During the first week, the housemates will be split in three teams according to which of those three traits they correspond the most. Whenever somebody wins HOH, his entire team will be immune from eviction. This twist will last until the Jury phase of the game.
  • Team Captains: On Night 2, three former houseguests from the Spying Machine will enter the house and have a chance to come back into the game. Each team will have to name an ambassador and at the end of the first week, the three ambassadors will have to evict two of the three team captains. The Captains are Dov for the Brains team, Tina for the Brawn team and Perri for the Beauty team.
  • Brothers Twist: Jacob and Josh Sharkovitch, two of the new houseguests are actually brothers, but the rest of the housemates are not aware of it.
  • No Have/Have-Nots: self-explanatory.
  • Pre-Jury Come-Back: The first six evictees will have a chance to come back into the game at the Final 10. They will then be immune from eviction for one week.

Amber Bahk 24 Irvine, CA Amber is a young Korean-American waitress from California. She is a very clever girl and she admits that she is a "secret nerd". She has a very high-pitched voice and is fairly shy. In the Big Brother house, she wants to befriend the girls and flirt with the guys to make them do her dirty work. She would like to get into a showmance.
Danny Novak 23 New York City, NY A very flamboyant fashion designer, Danny has been married to his High School girlfriend for two years now and they have a very young child. He was raised in a poor neighborhood in the suburbs of Boston and made it to the Big Apple with his hard work ethic. He has a big personality and is very ambitious.
Deborah Obereaux 27 Kennebunk, ME Deborah is a sweet librarian from Maine. She is very cultured, but sometimes seems to be living in a parallel dimension. She is very charismatic and people are naturally drawn to her. She admits that she is quite messy and lazy though and that she is a "nightmare" to live with.
Dustin Freeman 38 Spokane, WA Dustin is a big, tall and rather impressive guy when you meet him for the first time. Deep inside he is a Teddy Bear though and he knows that the hardest part for him in this game will be to keep his emotions in check and to avoid being too sensitive about betraying other people. He works as a lumberjack.
Emma "Fergie" Ferguson 25 Los Angeles, CA Fergie is a stunning young musician coming from the city of angels. She looks very innocent and sings as well as she looks. She doesn't want a showmance but she knows that her looks are probably her best asset. She hates her name (because there are too many Emmas). She is quite childish, loves to have fun and can sometimes appear insensitive.
Jacob Sharkovitch 21 Portland, OR Jacob is the epitome of the nerdy student. In general, he is endearing but he can also be annoying. He is very awkward around people in general. He is very young and wants to play Big Brother to be confronted to stressful situations, out of his comfort zone.
Dr Joffrey McAuliffe 41 Scranton, PE Dr Joffrey McAuliffe is a very respected physician in his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania. He has three children and he wants to win this game to show that their dad can make them proud in any situation. He wants to win a lot of challenges and to become a dominant strategic force.
Josh Sharkovitch 24 San Francisco, CA Josh is a young radio host from California. He left his parents' house when he was fairly young because they struggled to accept his homosexuality. Although they have made peace since, the young man still feels distant from his family and wants to show them how happy and strong he has become. He is very tall and has a very deep voice.
Juan Aguilar 30 Tucson, AZ Juan is a young pro boxer with a scarred face. He is very tough and his nose has been broken a few times). He looks strong and tired at the same time. He is a very peaceful guy that also enjoys doing yoga. People will expect him to be impulsive and angry but he is a very calm and pleasant character to be around.
Olivia Martinez 27 Los Angeles, CA Olivia is a rebel. She is against everything and everybody in society : she can be very confrontational. She is a PE Teacher and works with kids who have disabilities. She is note easy to talk to, she can be a bit blunt, but she is also very self-aware. She knows she'll have to make efforts to integrate.
Rebecca Winton 37 Brooklyn, NY Rebecca owns an artisan brewery with Trip her boyfriend of eight years. She comes from the Deep South, but has moved to New York to embrace her hipster-ness. She knows she will be one of the oldest housemates in the house but she wants to play a "dirty game". People will definitely underestimate her. She has no kids to swear on, or to make proud, so she is going to go all in.
Richard "Ringo" Swain 33 Virginia Beach, VA Ringo is a rocker with a dandy style and a huge personality. He does not come to the BB House to fade into the background. Some people would say he is immature but he could turn out to be a rather and inspiring wise presence for younger housemates. He has a PhD in physics, although he hates to mention it.
Stacy Hamilton 24 San Rafael, CA For the moment, Stacy is unemployed. She comes from a very wealthy californian family and has never had to work in her life. She even quit college during her sophomore year. She is used to using her looks to get ahead and describes herself as a "cosmetic surgery addict". She wants to win Big Brother to show her dad that she can win money for herself
Terese Williams 31 Decatur, GA A former member of the military, Terese now works as a psychiatrist with veterans. She is a proud lesbian woman and is an activist for the LGBTQ+ community. She can be a bit intimidating because she is very tall and very straight-forward. She has a very contagious laugh and a strong sense of style.
Wade Thomae 23 Miami, FL Wade is extremely good-looking (and he knows it) and athletic. He definitely looks like the type of guy that gets into a showmance early on, but he does not act like a douche. He is a real softie and seems to be very shy. He wants to win the game to offer a trip to his grandma. Just before the game, he was dumped by his girlfriend of three years.
Team Captains
Dov Assayas 44 Washington, D.C. During his season, attorney Dov Assayas came just short of winning the game as John Taylor wrongly perceived Caroline has a smaller threat to win. He is remembered for his strong strategic game, always being on the outs of the main alliances, but still managing to stay afloat. He also built strong bonds with other outsiders that he used as shield throughout the game. This time around, he wants to create a majority alliance and run the game.
Perri Malin 31 San Francisco, CA Since her season, Perri has moved to California where she opened a clothes store. She insists however that she his a manager and not a stylist. She is remembered for her strong social game and shifting alliances throughout the game. She also made very tight bonds with several guys which helped get very far (although she was an early target). This time around, she wants to avoid any feud with the girls and create an alliance of superfans.
Tina Scheigl 37 Pittsburgh, PA One of the biggest challenge beasts of her season, Tina was a very dominant player. She is remembered for her loyalty to her alliance, her many challenges wins and her season-long feud with Nick Abbott, which eventually led to her demise. She states that she has learnt from her mistake and would like to play a better social game, while beating her record of competition wins.

Weekly Summary[]

The Host of The Spying Machine launches a whole new season of the Big Brother franchise. The show is introduced by a video clip with some of the best moments of the three former seasons, including the formation of The Speakeasy alliance, the feud between Perri and Justine and also the crowning of Caroline, the winner of the Big Brother 3). She then does a brief tour of the new Big Brother House which has been decorated as a Spaceship, with very modern furnishing and astounding views of distant galaxies. She tells the audience that this season will be the most twisted yet and that the new housemates are not prepared for what will come their way.

The first twist of the season is the introduction of a brand new house dynamic, inspired by Survivor and called “Brains vs Brawn vs Beauty”. The twist is very simple : the 15 houseguests will be divided into three teams of five according to which one of these three traits they use more in their daily life. When someone wins HOH, the rest of his team becomes immune for the week (at least for the prejury) phase of the game. She immediately introduced the five members of the Brains team : messy librarian Deborah, micro-brewery owner Rebecca, physician Joffrey, student Jacob and a wannabe rockstar nicknamed Ringo. After a brief introduction, they were led into the house. Jacob and the girls were really excited, shouting and running everywhere. The young man declared in the first Diary Room session of the season that entering the Big Brother house was a childhood dream he shared with his older brother.

Back on the set, the Host introduced the next batch of housemates, also known as “the Brawn team”. It is composed of military veteran Terese, lumberjack Dustin, latino pro boxer Juan, PE Teacher Olivia and a very tall and smiley guy called Wade. They entered the house with much less noises but still a lot of excitement. On the sidelines, Rebecca immediately noticed they were way more guys than girls, something she immediately felt threatened by. Dr Joffrey and Wade quickly hit it off and noticed that they had bracelet with different colors : the first group had blue wristbands while the second had orange ones.

Eventually, the five remaining houseguests were introduced to the audience : they were fashion designer Danny, daddy’s girl Stacy, waitress Amber, musician Fergie and Josh a radio host from the West Coast. When the last group entered the house, Olivia and Rebecca immediately joked about how they were all models while Joffrey highlighted that the third group had pink bracelets. On the sidelines, Jacob immediately recognized his older brother Josh. The both of them had a hard time hiding their surprise - so much so that Fergie commented in the DR about how she had witnessed an instant crush between the two guys. Swiftly, Jacob made a small gesture so that his brother hid their relationship.

When everybody had settled on a bed, they all gathered in the living room - Jacob’s excitement had gone down very rapidly (and a few housemates noticed it). During the introduction round, several girls commented on Wade’s good looks. Deborah annoyed a few of her housemates with her high energy and Juan made a very good impression on Olivia. Terese described herself has a gay veteran and activist and received a big round of applause. She high-fived Josh while going back to her seat. Then, the host tuned in with the house to describe the new twist to the houseguests and everybody seemed in shock. “It is a completely new game”, described Dustin in a weird Diary Room session during which he looked really puzzled.

They were then asked to change clothes for the impending HOH Competition, but when they arrived in the garden, they quickly noticed that there was no set for a challenge. Just a pedestal with an envelope. Inside the letter, the composition of the teams were clearly explained - and to Joffrey’s expectation, the color of the wristbands indicate which team everybody is on. Without much more struggle, each team had to discuss and name an ambassador for the week. The three ambassadors would share a special HOH Room for the week and have a huge responsibility at the end of the week. As Fergie noticed in a confessional, it was also a double-edged sword as it could paint a big target on the back of the three ambassadors. Quickly, the Beauty team named Danny as their ambassador : the fashion designer was, without a doubt, the most physical one in the team. The five of them wanted to put the best chances in their basket should a challenge be organized. The Brawn team named Terese because they felt like her activism background could be useful in the position of an ambassador. For the Brains tribe, Deborah, Joffrey and Rebecca all wanted to become ambassadors. The latter was eventually chosen because the physician agreed to give it to her - much to Deb’s annoyance.

After they discovered the brand new HOH room (decorated as an Ambassador room for the week) the houseguests were then shown going to sleep. While all the other houseguests were shown going to sleep, Rebecca initiated a deal with her counterparts and they all promised to keep each other safe no matter what : none of them wanted to end up as the first evictee. The episode ended on that pact.

The next day, Josh was in the Diary Room, complaining about how busy the house felt with so many people in. That’s when the doorbell rang. Three new housemates entered the house and much to the Superfans’ shock, it was three former houseguests : Perri Malin from Big Brother 2, Dov Assayas from Big Brother 3, and Tina Scheigl from the previous season. Just minutes after they entered (with their suitcases), the host asked everybody to gather in the living room (many housemates were still in pajamas). They told them that the three former houseguests were full-blown housemates and that they would each mentor a team : Perri mentoring the Beauty team, Dov, being with the Brains and Tina joining team Brawn. She also instructed them to integrate very rapidly in the house because before the end of the week, two of the three mentors would be evicted… by the ambassadors. Obviously, the three veterans did not seem too happy. Perri said that Big Brother was playing with her nerves already. Rebecca on the other hand seemed very excited : her newly alliance of circumstances had all the power for the week, and that is something she was really enthusiastic about.

The houseguests then had a moment to chill out, but one of the mentors was immediately scrambling. Less than an hour after his entry, Dov pulled Rebecca aside and asked her to advocate for him. Him staying would make the Brains tribe stronger in his eye and the young hipster agreed with him… or let him believe so anyways. In the DR, she was shown weighing her options : Dov is a very menacing player and keeping him in could be threatening in the long run. Before making her choice, Rebecca wanted to be a hundred percent sure that she would make the best decision for her game.

The three ambassadors were then shown talking to each other and they agreed that all three of them would consult with their team before making a choice. However, Rebecca suggested that in the end they needed to do whatever choice was the best for their own game. Her two counterparts agreed.

Among the Beauty team, there was a rapid consensus on their wsh to keep Perri in the house. As a superfan, Danny rapidly built a bond with his mentor, and so did Fergie and Stacy. The four of them always hung out together and showed the entire house they were close. Amber and Josh were a bit more discreet. The latter actually told his brother that he was not willing to befriend his mentor too quickly should she leave during the first eviction Ceremony.

The Brawn team seemed less close-knit. Tina and Dustin became friend quickly and were shown working out a lot together. Olivia and Juan were also rapidly becoming a duo - they shared their first kiss in the backyard during a game of Truth or Dare. The young Pro Boxer was amazed that a pretty girl was interested in him but he did not want to rush things as it would paint a big target on his back. Juan was also shown trying to bond with people from the Beauty team. Eventually, Wade and Terese were both Free Agents. The former because he was really close with younger people such as Amber, Jacob, Josh and Deborah, the latter because she took her role as an Ambassador very seriously. She tried to have as much strategic conversations with the entire house. When she held a meeting with her team, there was no clear strategy. Tina advocated for herself obviously, but Olivia was scared that keeping her in would hurt their teams’ chances. Eventually, they all said they trusted Terese to do the best thing for their game.

Dov was trying really hard to stay in the house and he did a lot to convince his fellow Brainw to keep him in. It annoyed Dr Joffrey a bit because he felt like he could have strictly no conversations with the lawyer, other than talking strategy. Jacob and Deborah, as self-proclaimed Superfans loved talking to him although the young librarian recognized the former player was playing too hard. Rebecca was very distrustful of her mentor and she confided in Joffrey and Ringo who both told her she could sacrifice the guy if she felt it was the right thing to do. For Rebecca, the move that needed to be made, was the one that would make her a driving force behind the scenes, without painting a target on her back. The struggle was real.

Just before the eviction, she assembled a rather big group of player, including all the Brains team and the Brawn team - without their mentors. She said that she felt very comfortable with all the people on the room while she was more on the fence about how close some of the Beauties had become. She declared that Danny would probably defend his mentor very strongly, so she proposed to strike a deal with them : Tina and Dov would go home if all the Beauty team gave up on the following HOH Competition. Then, Brains and Brawn would be able to eliminate the Beauty team one by one before jury. Juan, Terese and Olivia were a bit hesitant as they felt like Danny would never actually accept that, but they agreed it was worth giving it a shot.

On Eviction night, the young fashion designer obviously put his first foot forward to say that they needed Perri in the house, that she was neither someone who would win too many competitions nor someone that would be strategizing all day, every day. Rebecca first faked that she was willing to save Dov as the lawyer really wanted to stay in. Terese remained silent. Eventually, she proposed to sacrifice Tina if the two of them promised that none of them would ever target a Brawn before Jury. The offer took Rebecca by surprise but they both agreed more or less reluctantly. It seemed to be a deadlock between Danny and Rebecca, the latter finally made her move : she agreed to sacrifice Dov if all the Beauty team threw the HOH Competition. The fashion designer first refused, guessing that the Beauty team would then become an immediate target. As the conversation did not progress Terese stepped in and promised that no matter what, their pact would stand until jury and that neither of the two ambassadors would aim at Danny directly. After thinking it through for a few minutes, the young designer accepted the proposition.

Dov and Tina were both eliminated while Perri became a full-blown housemate. Rebecca and Terese discreetly high-fived on their way out of the Ambassadors room. In the Diary Room, the brewer said that the both of them made an incredible team and that she could see them working together in the long run.
