Big Brother 8 is JTS's eighth installment of the Big Brother franchise. It will follow 14 strangers living in a house, vying for the $500,000 prize at the end. The previous season was Big Brother 7 (JTS618). The next season is Big Brother 9 (JTS618).
Head of Household- Each week the houseguests will compete in Head of Household competitions and the winner must nominate two people for eviction.
Power of Veto- This competition allows someone to veto one of the HOH's nominees. The veto holder does not have to use the veto.
Roulette Nomination- Each week, the current HOH will throw a ball into a moving Roulette themed wheel. Inside the wheel are the names of the houseguests. Whichever slot the ball lands in, this person will be responsible for naming a third nominee. All houseguests are eligible to get the power. If the Roulette Nominee is taken off the block, a replacement will NOT be named.
DIEing to Be A Have-Not: Rules explained under Have-Not section.
Rewind Button- When TBD houseguests remain, a rewind button will be left in the house and if it is pushed by a single person, the week will be reset.

The Big Brother stage is set as Julie Chen appears to confirm that the eighth installment of Big Brother is about to begin. The 14 eager and completely new houseguests anticipate moving into the house. The first group to enter the house was Cullen, Jaymi, Jon, Onyx, and Ralph. The five players happily entered the house. Upon entrance, Jaymi's loud and over the top personality shocked Onyx. Onyx even claimed in the diary room, "This girl is gonna be a loud firecracker! I can't wait for her to blow up in this game!" Jon, a superfan, was in complete shock that his dreams were finally coming true. He cited in the diary room, "This has always been my dream, I live, breath, eat, and sleep on this game! This is such a blessing and I intend on making my stay worthwhile!" The next group to enter was Corinna, Yva, Terrence, and Jeremiah. The four triumphantly entered the house and were greeted by the five players who just entered. The last group to enter consisted of; Enrique, Leisa, Peter, Shamira, and Stella. When these five entered, more celebration occurred. Shamira and Stella instantly clicked with Stella even stating in the DR, "From the moment I saw Shamira, I knew I wanted to work with her! Not only does she seem sweet and trustworthy, she also looks like she'll kick some ass!"
Once the commotion and hype died down, the 14 houseguests made their way to the living room. Jaymi popped open a bottle of champagne and did a little dance afterwards. She decided to start with the introductions, and she explained how she is a bartender from New Orleans. Her loud personality put some people off, most notably Leisa, who stated in the diary room, "Jaymi. She's a sack of potatoes with some earrings and glitter in her hair. I don't like her and I know I won't be able to stand her. Other notable introductions included Yva as she explained she was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the USA when she was about 9 years old. Another captivating introduction was given by Onyx, who explained that she was the first transgender player to compete on this installment of Big Brother. She was met by love and open arms, and she even touched Jeremiah, who had a little secret of himself. He explains later in the diary room, "Onyx's story really touched home for me. Ya know, I understand what it's like to be different and have people hate ya for it! I'm gay and I'm from the South! I still have friends and family that won't speak with me. That's why I applaud Onyx for being so brave and coming out here to share a personal and unfortunately controversial thing about herself. I'm really glad she's here and I hope I can become good friends with her."
Jeremiah decided to keep his sexuality to himself when he introduces himself. He is open about it, but he does want to keep it under wraps for the social aspect of the game. They players toast to making it onto the show and they begin to scatter very quickly. The storage room is shown with Stella and Shamira. Stella explains to Shamira how she had a gut instinct about her and she really trusts her. Shamira agrees to everything Stella says and they pinky promise, followed by a hug. They proceed to talk about the men of the house, and Stella points out how she finds Peter to be very attractive. In one of the bedrooms, Jaymi appears to be talking to Terrence. They appear to be flirting, and they each confirm in the diary room, that they have feelings for one another and they are attracted to each other. Soon, the mini conversations are ended when Julie calls the houseguests to the living room. She tells them that they should've noticed the theme of the house, which was Vegas Casino. Julie then goes on to say, "That's right. This season, you will be gambling like never before." She explains the Roulette Wheel that will appear in the house each week after nominations. She explains the current HOH will throw the ball into the moving wheel. Once the wheel stops, whichever houseguest the ball lands in will be given a special power to nominate a third nominee. She also explains how everybody is eligible to get this power, EVEN the nominees. Some houseguests gasp at this interesting and new twist on the game. She then orders them to suit up for their first competition of the summer.
The competition is called, Slipping for Gold.Outside, seven lanes of slippery material are seen. On one end is a giant pot filled with gold goo. On the other side is two empty buckets. One is for HOH and one is to gain a larger scoop to maneuver the goo. Chen explains that the first pair to get their bucket filled with the most golden goo and retrieve the ball will win the first HOH of the summer. She also explains that only one person from the pair can be HOH, the other player will be immune, however, and cannot be evicted that week. The teams are as follows: Jaymi & Ralph, Leisa & Onyx, Corinna & Peter, Enrique & Jon, Yva & Stella, Jeremiah & Shamira, and Cullen & Terrence. From the getgo, it was clear that Jaymi & Ralph, Enrique & Jon, and Yva & Stella struggled the most. Cullen & Terrence had a significant lead, however, they will slowly trailed by Jeremiah and Shamira. Leisa & Onyx were doing fairly well, almost in third for the entire competition, so they decided halfway through to try and get the larger scoops. This would actually lead to their demise, as Corinna and Peter moved further along. Terrence started to get visibly tired, claiming his muscles ached and he had a few major falls that hurt fairly bad. Jeremiah & Shamira maintained their speed, and soon enough they had enough goo and Jeremiah was able to reach in and retrieve the ping pong ball. Shamira jumped up in happiness and jumped over the separation bar to give Jeremiah a hug. They had a brief talk about HOH, and Jeremiah claimed he was happy with safety. Shamira, who secretly wanted the power, accepted the gesture and became the first HOH of the summer!
After her win, she is quickly congratulated by ally, Stella. Peter also joins and congratulates Shamira on her win. The scene now cuts to Jaymi and Terrence in the bedroom. They are joined by Corinna and Onyx. Jaymi and Terrence begin talking badly about Leisa. They call her a bitch and say they want her gone first. Corinna and Onyx just laugh and agree and the rude comments continue to slip out of their mouths. Eventually, Onyx leaves and Corinna soon follows suit. A couple minutes later, Onyx explains the crude things that Terrence and Jaymi were saying. Leisa was initially very annoyed, but she brushed it off and thanked the ladies for telling her. Leisa explained in the DR, "I'll explode on them when nominations are done and maybe I'll try and throw them under the bus!" The next day rolls around and it is time for Shamira to make her nominations. She is visibly torn and unsure about what to do. Peter and Stella push options such as Leisa, Ralph, and Jon. Shamira recalls a conversation when Leisa threw Terrence and Jaymi under the bus. In the end, Shamira decided to nominate Leisa and Ralph, and her reasoning was because she didn't really get to know them that well. Leisa was fuming, but surprsingly not at Shamira. Immediately after the ceremony, Leisa followed Terrence and Jaymi to the bedroom and loudly asked them, "What the f*ck? Do ya think I'm stupid?" Terrence and Jaymi quickly get heated and tell Leisa to "f*ck off". Leisa claims that they are the reason she is up on the block because they were already going around and bullying her behind her back. She claims that they probably went and talked crap behind her back to Shamira to get her nominated.
Jaymi leaves Terrence's side and walks up to Leisa, practically in her face. "I never said sh*t," claimed Jaymi. "So move along and go hang out with your 'friends'." As Leisa stomps off she flips Jaymi off and tells her, "Go on and keep sucking your boyfriend's c*ck! I mean you've only known him for three days!" Jaymi ignores Leisa, but Terrence loudly yells from the bedroom door, "F*ck off you old haggy bitch! You're probably more of a whore than all the women in here!" Leisa ignores his comment, and Jaymi and Terrence retire to the bedroom. Leisa then goes to the HOH and apologizes for acting that way and she wants to have some answers. Shamira claimed after what Jaymi and Terrence are doing, they need to be broken up. Shamira also confirms that they did say rude comments about Leisa and they did insinuate having her put on the block. Once tempers sizzled down, the Roulette Wheel appeared in the house and Shamira threw the ball in. As it spun around, it finally landed and stopped on Cullen's triangle. Cullen appeared happy, but then expressed his disdain in the DR. Since the house was fed up with Terrence and Jaymi's bullying of Leisa, they decided the best way to cause tension was to nominate Jaymi. Terrence became the backdoor target for the week. Cullen officially named Jaymi the third nominee.
Shortly afterwards, the houseguests picked players for the veto ceremony. Enrique and Stella were drawn to compete. The competition was called, Spelling Queen Bee, and it required the players, dressed as bees, to search the hive of honey for large playing cards with letters on them. Each letter was a different value. The player who spelled the longest word with the most points in the fastest time will win POV. In the competition, Jaymi and Ralph stuggled. Stella, Enrique, and Shamira tried their hardest, so the plan to backdoor Terrence would work. Leisa also tried her hardest as was making some progress. In the end, Leisa proved to be victorious with her ironic word, "honeysuckle". Leisa was so relieved to have safety and Terrence and Jaymi were visibly annoyed. Terrence knew his time in the house was coming to an end.
At the veto meeting, Leisa used the veto on herself, and Terrence was named the replacement. The events that followed this ceremony, would forever shake this house. It was Day 11, and Leisa proudly wore the veto medallion around her neck. She decided to sit in the dining room and eat a snack of popcorn. Terrence entered the kitchen and looked at Leisa, wearing the necklace. He tells her, "Why don't you take the damn thing off? We f*cking get it! You're safe! Stupid hoe!" Leisa explains that she is proud and she is gonna wear it, just to make Terrence even angrier. Terrence sat down at the table, across from Leisa. They began bickering and he nonchalantly threw some of the chips he was eating at her.
"Stop acting childish. It's a f*cking game!" says Leisa. Terrence angrily sits up and chucks the enitre bag of chips at Leisa, hitting her in the chest and causing chips to spill everywhere. Leisa, in shock, begins to yell at Terrence saying, "What the f*ck is wrong with you!?" Hearing the commotion, Cullen and some of the other players come down to the kitchen/dining room area to end the bickering. In the meantime, Terrence began to throw plastic forks and spoons at Leisa. Leisa began to defend herself and got in Terrence's face. Terrence pushed Leisa and she accused him of being a domestic abuser. Cullen tries to separate the fight and Jaymi is yelling at Terrence to stop acting this way. "She's a f*cking psychotic bitch and I'm done dealing with her!" Production comes over the speakers and demands that Terrence come to the DR. He refuses at first, ripping his microphone off and purposefully spilling a can of soda over it. Terrence says one last "f*ck you" to Leisa and he says "love you Jaymi" before entering the DR. Jaymi and Leisa are crying, as well as some of the other female houseguests. Cullen consoles both ladies. Footage is shown in the DR of a producer asking Terrence to come with him.
About a few minutes later, production calls everybody into the living room. Production explains that Terrence has been expelled from the game and will not be returning due to his physical harm to certain contestants and destroying his microphone. Leisa, still shaken, is not sobbing but she shows relief. Jaymi speaks up to the house and tells everyone she is sorry, and after what he did, she could never speak to him again. Production explains that their will be no eviction this week and when Day 14 rolls around, they will compete in the next HOH.
The next few days after Terrence's removal were a little emotional, especially with Leisa and Jaymi. As the days continued, however, many people seemed to forget about the tyrant that Terrence was. Jaymi and Leisa soon drifted away from each other and were not as close and they each still did not like each other. Regardless, Day 14 rolled around and it was time to crown a new Head of Household. Shamira was ineligible because she was HOH last week and Terrence's removal acted as an eviction. The HOH competition was called Roulette Me Win and it required the houseguests, one at a time, to roll a ball down a steep slope into a rotating wheel, numbered with different values. The player who scores the highest number will be the new HOH. After each player took their turn, it was Jon who became victorious and took the title.
A day later, the houseguests competed in a Have-Not competition called Soak Up the Sun and it required the players, dressed as suns, to go to a pool of orange juice and soak up as much as they can. The first two teams to fill up 10 buckets of orange juice would be haves for the week. The team divisions were Jeremiah, Shamira, Jaymi, and Enrique vs. Cullen, Leisa, Ralph, and Yva vs. Corinna, Peter, Onyx, and Stella. Cullen's team struggled from the beginning and it was too late when Jeremiah's team took second after Corinna's team. Cullen, Leisa, Ralph, and Yva became the offical Have-Nots for the week. Leisa accepted the Have-Not Gamble and rolled the die. Her total was a 6 and she was disappointed to realize she would have to be a Have-Not next week.
Each week, one have-not will be given a chance to roll two die. If they roll a 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, or 12 they will no longer be a have-not for the week. If they roll the more common numbers of 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, they will remain a have-not the next week. Since 7 is the most common roll, anybody who rolls a 7 will be given an additional week of being a have-not, bringing the total to 3 full weeks as a have-not. A bolded name indicates the houseguest rolled an unlucky number and had to be a have-not for another week. A
crossed out name indicates the houseguest rolled a lucky number and does not have to be a have-not for the remainder of the week.
